I know what you mean about being "pumped up". Wednesdays after swimming I come home have my tea (BIG bowl of muslea and golden nuggets!) and then have to work for a couple of hours to wind down (free work for the office).

Cool that your mum wants to gym with you - should be good support for both of you. I think when I was at college I did more mental rest than work (I blame my best mate for that!).

3 lbs is excellent and your body shape/size will change if you keep that up... honest! x

In response to:Easter, Shit Italian Food, South Park, and Pizza (Shh!)

Those 2 episodes are pretty early, i think sp gets so much funnier from season 4, but early southpark still has its moments :)
I have several pieces of coursework, essays, websites, poetry porfolio's....makes me feel a little queasy thinking of it....i better get on with it.

In response to:Easter, Shit Italian Food, South Park, and Pizza (Shh!)

Glad you had a good Easter. I got no eggs - but the kids got loads and that's a problem!! I've not watched SP for a good while now but I've two favorite episodes, can't remember the names but the first is where Eric "bulks-up" as a body builder shouting "BEEF CAKE" everywhere, and the other's where the kids all get chicken-pox.

What's your course work about?

In response to:Day 2

Scales are addictive. My in-laws bought us a set that zaps you with an electric current (through your feet) and tells you your body fat percentage. I weigh myself every morning and evening (back home from work). Perhaps I've a compulsion disorder of some sort. But because I've been doing this for so long I kind of know what the "right" parameters are for me...

Have a good break.

In response to:This is me. My life. My goal.

I like your blog, and I wish you the best of luck on this your new adventure, I believe that with your obvious strength of spirit and refreshing honesty you will fare well!

ps; What do you think is funnier 'Harold and Kumar get the munchies' or Cheech and Chongs 'Up in smoke'? You may not have heard of the latter, its a bit dated, but extremely funny!
My life. My goal.

Particulary Haribo- the chewiness feels good on my teeth..weird isnt it?

I was with you until this bit - but you can't be serious?! These have to be some of the worst "sweets" invented ever, period, full stop.

Swimming and the water proof i-pod... Well they do (I know because I am a bit of a "sad old git" about swimming toys), check out: http://www.waterproofmusic.com/swimp3.html, I don't know how well they work, but they do exist:)

Kickboxing (et al)... it depends on where you go and who you get to teach you. There are some really good coaches/instructors out there, but there are also a whole host of not very good ones, so tread carefully. But as far as a sport/fitness regime goes I think a decent martial arts set up can;t be beaten.

Good luck, my dear... :)

In response to:This is me. My life. My goal.

Hi there,
